Iconic breakfast franchise inks multi-unit agreement with Laredo, Texas entrepreneurs
Liliana and Ben Lohmer, owners of Lohmer Commercial Services, a reputable construction business in South Texas, recently signed a multi-unit agreement to bring three new franchise locations to Laredo, Texas.
The couples’ first location is expected to open in June 2024 at the Mall del Norte, one of the largest malls in Texas with over 160 stores. The franchisees will open two additional Huddle House units in 2026 and 2027.
“We don’t cook because we’re always out and about. Every time we were looking for something to eat in our town, the choices were limited,” said Liliana Lohmer, co-owner of the Huddle House in Laredo. “I knew we needed to bring an American diner to Laredo, and Huddle House was the perfect opportunity.
“I’ve always wanted to be in the restaurant business, and the idea of us owning a Huddle House restaurant was always there,” Lohmer continued. “We hope it will be a lively gathering place for friends and families to enjoy all-day breakfast food and dinner.”
Established in 1964, Huddle House continues to serve up its legacy of classic comfort food in a family dining setting. The establishment will be the franchise’s twenty-first location in Texas and one of the first American style diners in Laredo.
